NO BLUES AT THE BLUES

On the 4 November, year 6 went to the Chelsea stadium on a tour. We took bus 28. Everybody was bursting to walk around the stadium. When we got there we met the tour guide. The first thing we did was take a tour in the Chelsea stadium.
There were lots of interesting facts. Do you know why Chelsea’s colour is blue? Cheslea is blue because a long time ago Chelsea had a Scotish manager and his favourite team was the Rangers, who wore blue and white striped kits, so he made Chelsea the same colour.
Also, we learned that it was a night in October 1954 that during a match between Chelsea vs Wolves they had their biggest number of fans-75,000.
When the stadium tour was over we went to the signing room were the manager signs new playthe field. Later, we took a bus to school. Everybody was so happy. That was our time at Chelsea. ers.
After we left the room, we went to have our lunch. It took no more then 30 minutes to eat.
After we had lunch, we met Michael Foreman, a famous illustrator for children’s books. He told us about his childhood. The book was called War Boy and it is all about him. After that, he told us about the books he had written and the one he is writing now. He promised he would draw a picture for us. The picture was so funny because in front of the class’s picture, he drew a pirate with a bird pooing on his head, the Titantic sinking and an octupus holding a person.
We also met Paul Canoville who was the first black Chelsea in the 1980s. He told us about the racism and discrimation that he faced on

Cakes and football

This term, for 6 Wednesdays, a group of students went to do activities at the Chelsea stadium. We were having tours around the stadium and playing games, and even did a maths test! Then the second to last week we got tickets to see Chelsea vs Wolves. 4 of us won a haiku poem competition and got to walk on the pitch at the beginning of the match. The overall score was 2 – 0 to .......... CHELSEA!!!! Malouda scored the first goal and Kalou with the finishing goal. Actually I’m quite fond of Chelsea myself. Jeff, our Chelsea hub instructor, gave us cakes during the match. Some of us were filmed to be on the Chelsea website: http://www.chelseafc.com/.
