The Past Helps Fund-raise for Sports Relief!

On the 16th March, Avonmore had a day to fundraise for Sports Relief. The majority of the school dressed up as athletes or wore clothes from the snazzy 80s and 90s. We even had someone dressed as the footballer from the fake goal incident, Maradona! Sports Relief brings together the worlds of sport and entertainment to raise money to help vulnerable people in both the UK and the world's poorest countries. In the morning, years 4 and 6 had a fun activity in which they got into teams of 4. Then they ran around the playground, searching for pictures of famous athletes. While they were searching, they filled up a chart of the names of the athletes and their sport. Throughout the day, different classes went with another class to the top playground to do a variety of activities. Year 5 and 6 played dodgeball and 1 and 2 ran an obstacle course that included hurdles. It was a great flashback to the past that we will never forget!
