Panic At Avonmore

Alert, alert! Avonmore has gone into pandemonium! We need a new head teacher immediately!
As most students at Avonmore may know, the fabulous, fantastic Mr Hale is leaving our amazing school. For those who haven’t heard yet, this may be shocking news. A Day of Leaping

You know those cool little flip animations that Google puts up when there’s a special event? Well, there was one yesterday. As many of you may know, yesterday was a special day that only ever happens every 4 years. No, it’s not the Olympics. This special day is called a leap day. In February, there are 28 days. But, on leap years, there are 29 days in February which means we have one extra day at school (boo hoo!) and 366 days in the year. But, there is one question that lingers in my mind.

Does it make sense that we call it a leap year?

Avonmore's Unfortunate Loss in Football- A Recount from One of the Player

Avonmore and Melcombe’s teams had worked hard and had finally got to the final match out of the first six although only one team could win the match.
The match was played at Hurlingham Park on Friday 26th. At the previous match Avonmore played really well (but they have never met a team as good as Melcombe!). Melcombe’s team was wearing blue and yellow and at the same time Avonmore were wearing green, white and yellow. During the first half, Avonmore controlled the ball perfectly but Melcombe did edge in a goal. Lucky for Avonmore, one team member scored a goal. It was 1-1.
During the second half, it was getting tougher. Not too long after the referee blew his whistle and the two teams shook hands and the outcome was 3-1 to Melcombe. It was a shame because we lost but Melcombe were a really good team.

Is Avonmore in or out…EU part 2?

Will UK survive on its own or will there be a civil war about food, housing, taxes, bills and shipping from EU. We think UK should stay in the EU because if we weren’t in the EU then traveling through euro star would cost a lot. It is £99 now but it will become more.
