Is Diversity Good?

Imagine if in the world everything was the same. Would we all like cake and all hate ice- cream? Would we all watch SpongeBob and never watch Scooby Doo? The answer would be yes, but would we all want to? The bloggers have been pondering about this mind boggling question. All of us decided that we wouldn’t want to as it would mean no one would have fun. Everyone would be bored if we were all boys, we were all Sikh and we all loved David Bowie’s music. What makes people especially wonderful is our differences. And, this is definitely seen at Avonmore! We celebrate our differences and appreciate each other’s uniqueness. Coincidentally, today marks the 70^th year anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz and so we thought that having a discussion on diversity is very, very important for everyone so they have a moment to reflect on how truly wonderful differences are!
