Bike proficiency

Beginning the week of 19th January a select group of people were able to participate in cycling proficiency lessons.  I was lucky enough to take part in this.  There were approximately 5 students who participated in these sessions. In the first lesson, we just stayed in the playground; however, during the rest of the week we were on the road and came across different scenarios such as a roundabout and coming across cars on narrow roads.  The instructors told us about the importance of staying away from the ‘door zone’ as a cyclist can get seriously injured by a driver opening the car door. We learned about the importance of looking at street signs and lines on the road, especially to see who has the right of way when travelling on the roads. Happily, all of us passed the week’s sessions in flying colours and will be receiving certificates for our learning. Ride safely!
How much does it cost to park here?
