Houses of Parliament

On the 1st February ,2011, year 6 went to the Houses of Parliament. We took the bus from Olympia station to Trafalgar Square. It was an adventure to remember. We saw Harrods, Ripley’s Believe It Or Not and we went through Piccadilly Circus. When we got off the bus we had to walk to the Houses of Parliament. We passed the horse guards and Downing Street. Finally, we had arrived at the Houses of Parliament. Everybody had to go through security. After that, we split up in groups and explored. Our tour guide, Will, took us down this big tunnel and we ended up in the Houses of Commons. It was all green. Nobody was allowed to sit on the chairs. After that we went to the House of Lords. Everybody gasped as it was so luxurious. Again, we weren’t allowed to sit on the chairs. The Queens chair was plated with gold. Did you know that a long time ago Micheal Jackson wanted to buy the Queens chair but they said no. when he went back to America they made him a thrown. After that we had a workshop everybody loved it and finally it was time to go. THAT WAS OUR TIME AT THE HOUSE OF PARLIAMENT!! We had lots of fun.
